Mary Jane Hancock has enjoyed advising entrepreneurs with start-ups and established businesses since 1999. Her services include general business, legal and marketing counseling for businesses and for nonprofit organizations. She has worked as a producer in film, television and radio. MJ’s background in production makes her sensitive to the artist’s need to be true to the spirit of the project. She holds a Bachelor's of Science in Radio, Television and Film from the School of Communications at the University of Texas, a Master's of Arts in Philosophy, a Doctorate of Jurisprudence and a Leadership in Nonprofit (LINE) certificate from Rice University's Glasscock School of Continuing Studies.
In 2008 she became involved in environmental concerns and became an active recycler and composter. She adopted the motto 'Reduce, Re-use, Repurpose, Recycle!' and purchased her first worm farm in 2010. In 2009, she adopted a rescue Chihuahua and volunteered at True Blue Friends rescue group with Janice Blue.
In 2014. she founded BoatReclamationServices.com, a company committed to the removal and green-disposal of abandoned boats in Texas lakes, bays and marinas. MJ is licensed to practice law in Texas, and works full time at the Law Office of Mary Jane Hancock, MA JD PLLC. She also operates a small production company in greater Houston named Bee Hive Head Productions, LLC.
